WHO DO YOU SAY JESUS OF NAZARETH IS?

The resurrection proved that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be. A lot of people say, “I don’t believe Jesus was God. I believe he was a just great teacher.”
He couldn’t be a great teacher. That’s the one thing he could not possibly be. Because a good or great teacher would not claim to be God. There is no middle ground with Jesus Christ. He’s either who He says he is or the biggest liar in history, a con man, or He’s a lunatic. Kind of like the guy who thinks he’s Napoleon or a fried egg. No, a “great teacher” is not an option.
And you have to decide, was Jesus of Nazareth a madman? Or was He the biggest manipulator ever and He conned almost three billion people? If that’s true we should all just close up shop, go home, live in hopelessness and die lost in our sins. There’s no reason to celebrate Christmas. No reason for Easter. No reason for church because then He’s deluded most of the world throughout human history.
OR HE IS EXACTLY WHO HE CLAIMED TO BE.
When he came back to life Jesus didn’t just show up and appear to a few believers. He stayed on earth for another forty days, and appeared around Jerusalem. All kinds of people saw him. On one occasion He was seen by 500 people. It’s kind of hard to fool 500 eye witnesses. There’s so much more that could be said but I’ll leave it there for now.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most well documented events in history. It would stand up in any court of law. In fact, it has many, many times throughout the centuries. It proved Jesus was who He said he was. He is the Son of the living God, God manifested in human flesh, the crucified and risen Savior and Lord. So, we celebrate Him today…as we, His followers, will do forevermore.
He Is Risen Indeed!
