Blessings Always Follow Obedience

It’s been two years living in Connecticut after following the leading of the Holy Spirit to relocate to New England and be close to the grandchildren. I confess to coming up here not knowing anyone and with my own plans for ministry and presuppositions about this region…however…still knowing somehow that this move was a “God thing.” Yes, I came with my own plans, and then the Lord confronted me deep inside one day with a pointed question, “Son, do you want your plan or Mine?” Well, okay Lord, I’m Yours. Completely.
Long story short, God always knows best, and He has opened up a number of wonderful and yes, quite surprising doors of opportunity for ministry here in CT, MA and RI. I’ve been so blessed to preach the Gospel in churches almost every weekend, serving as an interim pastor, also recording weekly podcasts, and got to write my 13th and 14th books. Even though you and I will still face challenges and adversity along the way, all that God wants is our availability, simple obedience, and faith in Him. Our faith pleases the Father, and He promises to take care of the rest, because the blessing of the Lord always follows our obedience! Trust and Obey.
