Here I am, Lord. Send me!

Recently, a younger minister asked, “What’s been your biggest disappointment?” Upon reflection, my reply was this: “The biggest disappointment has been in seeing a massive, vast harvest field of souls left untouched by so many of God’s children.”
Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He *said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:36-38)
Though not as young as I used to be, I’m not done and my heart aches and still cries out, “Here I am Lord. Send me!”
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
Time is short. Let’s reach this lost and sin-sick world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every available means.
