YOU CHOOSE

Multitudes of people over the years have asked and still do, “How could a God of love send people to Hell?” God doesn’t want to send people to Hell. The Bible says, “It is not God’s will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Almighty God sent Jesus into this world for the sole purpose to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the Cross (John 3:16-17). Sadly, not all people are willing to admit they are lost sinners, and to trust in Christ for forgiveness. They reject Jesus and the payment of His sacrificial death for them. Thus, God allows them to experience the harsh and dreadful results of their choice (Luke 16:19-31). Again, the choice is their own.
The late great C.S. Lewis wrote that in the end there are just two groups of people. One of those groups says to God, “Thy will be done.” These are the people who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and will live forever with Him in Heaven. The second group of folks are those to whom God says, tragically, “THY will be done.” These are all of those who have rejected Jesus Christ, and will spend eternity apart from Him.
Don’t ask how a God of love could ever send a human being to Hell. Instead, a better and much more informed question should be asked: How could any person reject a God of such amazing love who would give up His Only Son to die for our sin so that we could be forgiven, transformed, reborn, and live with Him forever?
What will it be? Life or death? Blessing or cursing? Christ or the enemy of your soul? The choice is entirely yours, and yours alone.
