“In our Lord’s discourse on the rich man and Lazarus, we see several disturbing facts about unbelievers beyond the grave:
*Christ rejecters suffer in agony.
*The unsaved cannot be comforted.
*The unsaved are fully responsible for not having listened to the Bible’s warnings while on earth.
*There is no possibility for the unsaved dead leaving the place of torment.
Here’s probably the worst torment of all: The unsaved will experience will be a perpetual knowing that he or she could have repented, trusted in Jesus for salvation, and escaped punishment. However, now, throughout the endless eons of eternity, the unbeliever who had rejected Christ will always know that he or she could have enjoyed the eternal joy of Heaven by trusting in Christ while alive on earth.”
